Hi Nicol, Well, i do understand what you are saying about using more force than necessary on your keyboard. I once broke a couple of NES game controllers that way while pusshing the buttons far to hard. However, as I have aged, gotten older, I have learned one does not have to beat up the game device to get the desired effect. The extra force does nothing to iimprove your chances at any given game. That said I think you might want to be careful how much you hit your keyboard while others are around, and explore other means of getting the desired effect. After all most keyboards can do the same effect with a light key press as a forceful one. I guess if you want to explain it there is no way to explain it to a non-gamer. It involves explaining your feeling how drawn you are into that particular game and your emotions sort of take over. A feeling I know all to well. When I play Shades of Doom and the mad scientist takes off with someing of mine I feel honest rage and anger. Needless to say I often destroying anything and everything on the level trying to exact my vengence. When I find that scientist I kill him slowly and with deadly force. I knife him, saw him, or drop a mine and let him step on it exploding his guts eferywhere, etc. I usually kill him in spectacular and deadly ways. One time I was playing, I think this was SOD 1.0, I shot the scientist and he let go of the mines he took, and kept on running. I aimed on the mines and fired. The Mines exploded, and blew the scientist up and the wall they were near. It was effective, and well he payed a heavy price for taking them. Anyway, the point I am making is I can be so drawn in to the game keyboards, headphones, and computers seam not to exist and I am emotionally caught up in the action. If it wasn't for the desire to keep my computer keyboard last I try not to use to much forece on the keys but I could as easly bang keys left and right.
