Hi CB,
It is best to use the training mode in the easy difficulty level.
This turns on the automatic description of what is ahead of you.
Or you can go into the f1 options and turn this feature on manually.
You hit space to select which mode and then arrow down to save settings to
get back to the game.
It is easier to identify when things are moving past by stepping slow with
the control up arrow key and finally Headphones make a big difference.
When you are trying to find something try shift d which describes the
objects around you one at a time.
You use the down arrow key to review them and escape to get out of this
menu.
once you find the rememberal you can then use the r key to tell you if you
have been there before and the w key is handy to tell you what type of room
or floor you are on.
Lastly it does take a while to memorize the layout of walls and rooms to
just take your time.
Hope these help.
Phil
