Hi Shaun, Luckily you can increase the volume of your microphone independently of other sounds . Or more likely reduce all the other sounds. In the what you hear setting the microphone volume is in the play section instead of the record section of Windows volume controls. It takes a little fiddling of the settings to get them correct.
