I can tell you that once you get used to all the sounds in the game, you will be able to play the game with no problems. I've completed the arcade mode on all difficulty levels, including max many times. I've also played against sighted friends. You can't really tell what's going on in the game using stereo panning, as the punching sounds etc don't pan, but the game does have distinctive sounds and you can always tell which situation you're currently in. hope this helps.
