Is a blog the same as a forum? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Thomas Ward Sent: Wednesday, August 08, 2007 6:08 PM To: Gamers Discussion list Subject: Re: [Audyssey] reviewing games, and blogging
Hi Raul, I do like the idea of a blog, but it would have to be monitored from time to time to make sure the content remains clean and viewable by all readers. Given the distressing nature of this list The last few weeks I'm not sure everyone can abide by all those rules. For example, take a game like the Audio Formula 1 game that seams to be widely unpopular on list. There is a way to constructively state why you didn't like that game, and there is the way which was expressed by allot of listers like calling it crap, total worthless piece of junk, bla. Even though I might personally agree with that view the developer of the game will likely feel flamed rather than cunstructively given good reasons why it was not widely recieved. That is the point of a review to give feedback the reason why or why not it was recieved. If someone wrote a negative review of say Montezuma's Revenge I'd like to at least be given the reasons for dislike. For example, it didn't offer the end user enough replay value, stuff is not random enough, etc. Those kinds of cunstructive critisisms will allow me as a developer to either upgrade the game with those features, or create more future games including those changes. _______________________________________________ Gamers mailing list ..
