I'm way behind on Email because of PC problems, but, as a matter of fact, 
you did state that you aren't a good braille reader.  These people just 
aren't paying attention or aren't thinking, not sure which.  As for 
brailling cards, it is better to braille the upper left corner of each card, 
then turn the card 180 degrees and brailling what is now the top left 
corner.  This will prevent having to have the card facing a certain way when 
reading.  The braille is put on the side that has the numbers on it so that 
face up to you is aqlso face up to sighted players.  And there is no need to 
use dymo tape if you have a slate and stylus or a brailler.  Just emboss the 
braille right onto the card.  As for other games, chess sets that are 
adapted for use by blind players are available, as are tactile versions of 
other popular games.  Most are for braille readers, although some are not. 
I know that some sites have already been mentioned, and you might also find 
sources through the use of a search engine such as
