Hi everyone, Once again the Cleveland Browns continue their undefeated winning streak against the Cowboys. In this weeks game the Cowboy's put up a good fight, but it wasn't enough to save them from defeat. here is how the game went down. In the first quarter the Browns started out with the ball. All attempts to get the ball moving early was stopped cold by good calls and excelant defensive plays on part of the Cowboys. Needless to say for the first half of the first quarter the ball went nowhere. Finally, around seven minutes into the game the Cowboys marched the ball into field goal range. They kicked the ball and unfortunately for them the ball hit the crossbar resulting in a turn over of the ball, and no score for either side. The Browns once again with the ball is once again stopped cold with getting the ball anywhere. In fact, they were consistently driven backward by the Cowboys awesome defense. I have high hopes for their defensive line up this season. The Browns punt the ball and also blocks most attempts for the Cowboys offense to go anywhere. Just Then, the tide shifts in favor of the Browns. The Cowboys attempt to make a pass which gets intercepted at their 19 yard line. The Browns drive the ball home for a 7 and 0 lead over the Cowboys. The second quarter opens up with a fight for posession of the ball. The Browns quarter back with possession of the ball pulls off a 44 yard pass which puts the ball into touch down or field goal range. The Browns capatilise on their new field position taking the ball into the end zone for a second touch down and a 14 to zip lead over the Cowboys. For most of the quarter both sides seam to get stalled and stopped cold by good defensive plays. Like I said the Cowboys defensive line up is good. I had real trouble getting anywhere. However, near the end of the quarter the Cowboys try to pull off another pass, and as in the first quarter the Browns intercepted the ball with in scoring range. The Browns drove the ball into the end zone for a third touch down in the game. Total score is now 21 to 0 Browns. The Browns return the ball, and if insult wasn't enough the Browns defensive team drives the Cowboys offensive methodically backwards into the Cowboys end zone for a 2 point safety. Bringing the final score of the second quarter to 23 to 0. The third quarter opens up with a lightning attack from the Cowboys. The Browns start the quarter off by a return kick of the ball to the Cowboys. With the Cowboys in possession of the ball in one single play they ran the ball into the Browns end zone for a 23 to 7 score for the Cowboys. Slick and fast move if you ask me. Most of the quarter passes with attempted plays to get the ball moving, several turn overs, etc. Noone does anything for a while. Finally, the Cowboys throw a 33 yard pass into field goal range, and drives the ball hard towards the Browns end zone. Browns defense eventually stalls the advance, but the Cowboys attempt a field goal. Unlucky for them this second field goal attempt hits the left upright, and ball is turned over to the Browns with no change in score. So far the Browns are winning,but obviously the Cowboys are starting to gain some points. The fourth quarter is a continuation of plays in the third quarter. The Browns manage to drive the ball hard into field goal range and kick a successful field goal. Bringing the score to 26 to 7 Browns. Things are looking very good for theBrowns, but the Cowboys are not going down without a fight. After several plays the Cowboys manage to drive the ball home for another touch down. Bringing the score to 26 to 14. No doubt the Cowboys are starting to put up a fight. Several more plays goes by with neither side getting much of a foot hold. Eventually, the Browns manage to pass and run the ball into field goal range, and kick a final field goal. Bringing the final score to 29 to 14. I must say the game was fun, challenging, and I think the Cowboys played well even if they lost. They were not push overs as was my game against the Steelers.
