Hi Ron,
Yes, the Audyssey list archives are public. Anyone who wants to view
them can do so, and they can be searched by thread or by date.
I think writing up an article and placing it in the next issue of
Audyssey Magazine is a nice idea. It is something that has been open to
the public for a long time, but for whatever reason it doesn't seam as
though many users are using it to full advantage.
For example, I can't tell you how many times I've seen user x come on
with a hi or hello message, and the first question out of his or her
email I see is, "Can someone give me a run down of what is happening on
the list these days?"
If they wanted to keep tabs they could have just viewed the discussions
in the archives. However, it might be they didn't know they were there
or they were not aware they could view the archives weather or not they
are even subscribed to the list.
This is why i felt it necessary to send out a reminder to the list the
archives are provided just for such a purpose. To catch up on email you
missed, or to do research on a game that was discussed when it was hot,
and now is no longer being discussed much. It also allows someone to
unsub from the list to go on vacation but pop into the archives to scan
over what subjects were being talked about without actively being on the
list.
