Yes I do indeed hear the tone wheels just fine through my soundblaster live card which I understand was one of the biggest problems with the game for a lot of folks. I will definitely have to consider this one and I don't have the cash right now in any case so I will just play the demo some more and make sure that I am going to like the thing long term before I make any decision.
