I don't think I have met a programmer that doesn't reuse code over and 
over again as many times as he/she humanly can. In fact, when I 
initially wrote Montezuma's Return I planned to use the games base code 
to create several classic side-scrollers using the basic same code but 
changing the data. Now, that I have decided to invest in creating games 
in Java I am inwardly growning as that requires hours and hours of 
rewriting existing code to get the same code base I have in C# .NET.
