well I had this twice, the first drive I caught before it died entirely.
The last one died with no warning.
I have a double drive backup now so if anything does happen i will have 
something I can sinc with.
if all else fails I have the old semi broke drive I know I can recover 
everything from again if I really need to.
I still did lose  a bit.
it was all my backups though in my case I think I probably would have got the 
data back as the data areas were good, after trying to replace the supply it 
looked like a flash board failier which was the issue.
