I've recently put up an internet relay chat server for usage by anyone who wants to. Can be used for anything from rooms hosted by developers of various games, to general personal/non-personal chat. The server is currently administrated by me and one other at the moment, and is pretty well considered open for business. If you're unfamiliar with IRC, there's plenty of information on it available online, including several clients that are either accessible by default or can be made that way. If you are familiar with IRC and want to drop in, you can find it at chat.the-jdh.com . It's presently open on all the usual IRC ports.
