Hi, I would say that feature adds a bit more to the realism of the game. I would find it interesting to have it. Also it helps not getting lost sometimes. If you for example don't have a torch and walk through one room and into the next, it is hard to tell when the old room ends and the new room begins. Just close the door, and you already know where you are.
