Keep in mind that most mud-client developers, notall, are cimputer
people who work on the computer day and night. And most of them are
pretty big companies... and just because muds change and update
frequently, that does not mean the mud client itself needs to be
updated to catch up.

Well that's what most of the free client developers do. If not every few

Mud! Client! Here! It! Needs! Regularly! And! Constantly! Updating! Get it?
Muds don't only change every few years, they change and are being updated
all the time, and so should the clients to use with them.

Subject: Re: [Audyssey] VIP Mud
Hi,
Not true. GMA is still very much active. It is true that they are
usually pretty quiet in between releases, but they consistantly
release a new product or update on a 18 month to 24 month release
schedule. Since 2006 there has been Shades of Doom 1.2, VIP Mud in
2008, and finally Time of Conflict in 2010. I wouldn't say they
haven't released anything in years since that's not true. If you are
expecting releases every few months or something then you have an
extremely unrealistic view of software development, game development
in particular, as the kinds of games GMA regularly produces take a
long time to create. I should know since I'm writing games with
similar quality and features myself.
Cheers!
