Well, that's how the DOS games worked, I imagine there's limits to
what one can do when programming in DOS. Considering I was about 8 or
10 when I played many of these games, the fact that there were games I
could actually play on the computer was really cool. Unfortunately,
because I was so young, I didn't buy any of them. I still have demos
for several of them lying around somewhere, but I have no idea where
at the moment. I didn't get into text adventures until a few years
later, and I'm not very good at them, depending on how complicated
they are anyway.
Thanks for the info on Rainy Day Games. There's definitely enough of
that stuff going around, so you wouldn't need to remake them.
