HI, Not entirely true. You can be on the 6th floor, use the orb to go to town, walk up to the 1st floor, and orb back to the 6th floor, you don't need to return to town before using it.
So in Keith's case. If he was on the 4th floor, and orbed back to town. Went up to the 2nd floor and tried the army cheat, the orb is still attached to the 4th floor as far as I know. So if he pressed f1 he would then be back on the 4th floor and would not need the stairs. Make sense? HTH. Good luck.
