Ah, sorry i got the numbers wrong. I probably ought to stick some compatibility instructions on the spoonbill pages, to the effect that jim's winkit file is a quick and easy way to install the vb6 stuff, unless there is already something about this on spoonbill anyway.

Beware the grue!

Hi Dark,

That's correct.
The Spoonbill games do work on Windows 7 64-bit machines provided the
VB 6 libraries are installed and you have something like Microsoft
Anna configured as the default voice. FYI, Windows 7 comes with Sapi
5.4 not 5.1 although that doesn't make much of a difference in this
case.

there's no reason any of the spoonbill games shouldn't! work on 64 bit,
accept that you'll obviously need to use a sapi 5.1 compatible voice to
output the text of the game, but if this is set in your control panel
everything should be fine sinse all the games just use whatever you've set
as the default computer voice.

I don't know if you need the dependencies for vvb6 etc, but if so you can
get those by downloading and running jim's winkit file that installs all the

components, ---- either way, spoonbill clondike solitare and all the other
games should work.

Beware the grue!

Dark.
