It probably does and I just didn't notice, being caught up in the story. I
didn't find out about it until I got back to town after a fairly long story
arc on another map, and only then because I did some information gathering.

And I actually cheated to beat the castle dungeon, hahaha. I didn't even
unlock it until pretty late in the game, and by that point I had items
that
just allowed me to float over the water so getting the chests was
ridiculously easy. Honestly unless you've gotten other things though I
don't
see them as being useful, all I got was magic stones, which are just more
powerful rocks it looks like. I haven't actually tried them out though so
maybe they're better than they seem.
Knowing my luck you'll get to the battle I'm on and completely destroy
it,
haha. I had no trouble with the axe beaks either time I fought them, but
that seems to be the battle everyone gets stuck on.

shadow, just wondering did you ever beat that stage in the castle with
the kick ass boss music and the 8 treasure chests in the water? I'm
trying to get them all but so far no luck
its not the bosses themselves that are the problem, its the water
surrounding the chests that's the problem
