I think Federation II is what you want here. I could be wrong because I
never played it much and it seemed to be a bit donation heavy, but I know
that most of the game is based around trading, economy and some building.

would love to see a mud styled on elite that sort of thing. with trading
factory building and economy related stuff.
don't get me wrong i love star conquest but they've got the trading
element of it far from right i think. for example, they expect you to find
the trading centres all yourself. i don't actually agree with that, a
trader should find the best routes yes but all the trading centres should
be known or how can any given economy be expected to be maintained or even
grow if the supply of goods is based on knowing where the trading centres
are? to me that's somewhat silly.

Depends on what kind of ships you mean. If you're talking spaceships,
there are some starwars muds that offer fighting similar to alter with
ship combat at higher levels. If you mean sailing ships, there are
several, but they're usually in the endgame, like Medievia at hero
levels.

Subject: [Audyssey] Mud Question
Hi, was wondering if there were any muds out there that combined the
role playing fighting style of alter aeon, with a chance for ship to
ship combat like that one mud that people were talking about regarding
choosing to be a pirate, a trader, smuggler, etc.
Thanks
Keith
