What happens if you change the security model for the instance (gnt-instance modify -H ...) then restart it then try to live migrate it? That should work, no matter what the cluster security model is. The fact that if you just "start" it passing -H security_model=none then it wouldn't remember it when live migrating is expected (although perhaps could be considered a bug)
