i have this problem with any instance i create on this two node cluster.  
i've also re-created the cluster and re-installed instances for testing.  
the problem always occurs.

system is ubuntu 12.04 amd64 with ganeti 2.6.0

if i can help with any testing let me know. the cluster is no in production  
state atm....
