+1. Not only, but also in net-common, so it can be used under kvm as well.
Ah well, that is actually what I ment to say. vif-ganeti merely contains any functionality. All the functionality is in net-common, so this is what I will be working on.

Indeed, it would be good if the implementation was independent of
vif-openvswitch vs vif-ganeti, and of course compatible with all the
ganeti hypervisors, and not dependent on Xen.

Yes, the implementation will be in net-common, so it will be compatible with all hypervisors that use it.
