If I may comment something here, just to make things clearer:
Ganeti never did anything wrt the routing table even before gnt-network was
introduced, and if I understand correctly this was by design, which seems
reasonable. Actual network configuration should happen by the
administrator; manually or automatically inside Ganeti's hooks.
That's why we have implemented the snf-network package, which provides
scripts that implement different policies. These may include automatic
creation of bridge interfaces, routing tables, setting rules, etc.
Dimitris will be providing documentation for all of the above soon.
snf-network is also tightly related with issue #202.
