Also note, that in variant (b), the pending asynchronous requests
need to be persisted on disk. Otherwise they will get lost on a
restart of wconfd, wheras the job will just poll for the requests
to be fullfilled---while holding other locks.
In variant (a) this is not a problem: the job will notice the lost
connection and retry the request (the strict prioritization might
get lost on a daemon restart, but this is not too much of a problem,
especially as daemon restarts do not happen that often).
