i guess the second example should be something like this:
gnt-instance modify --disk add:size=1G --hotplug test
gnt-instance modify --disk 1:remove --hotplug test
instead of:
gnt-instance modify --disk add:size=1G --hotplug test
gnt-instance modify --net 1:remove --hotplug test
