Are you sure this is a good idea? I think warning about a deprecation in a
version that does not actually deprecate it, is kind of confusing to the
user. I mean that's why we are keen on keeping the 'incompatible changes'
section in sync. I think if it is version 2.12 that deprecates things, this
should be documented in 2.12.
