For the current default value of --max-running-jobs, i.e., 20,
inotify performs well enough. So this issue should not block
the 2.12 release.
However, it definitely is important, in order to allow large
values of --max-running-jobs. So I will fix it as soon as I
find the time, in the earliest release possible (and 2.14 at
the very latest).
