Hi all! My name is Daniil Leshchev, I’m first year undergraduate master at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Russia.
I found some ideas for GSoC 2016 at Ganeti's wiki page and want to know more about “Optimize balancing speed by accounting for migration speed” task. There are three reasons why I chose this task: 1. As a student of department of Applied Mathematics, I think it’s a good chance to use math skills for something real and necessary. 2. I have variety experience in area of virtualization and close technologies. My bachelor thesis was about ARM arch virtualization, and I was working in research lab of Parallels company for two years. 3. I really like Haskell lang and want to improve my knowledge of it. If it’s possible, could you guide me more detailed about this task? For now, I’m diving into HTools’ code and trying to fix small issue №475. Thus I have two questions: 1. Do ‘networks’ parameter always exist in json file or I should check it? 2. Is there any simple way to test possible solution? I would be pleased by any your help.
