guys- i have a simple example of how gmond/gmetad will work using HTTP.
if you grab http://matt-massie.com/ganglia/ganglia-web-0.1.4.tar.gz you'll have the code for this example. there is a directory called ./gmond now where you can view the source (especially gmond.c). a ./configure && make will create a gmond in this directory... just do a ./gmond to start and point your web browser to http://yourserver:8666/. i'll be sending you the module interface in the coming days/week which will show you exactly how we're going to collect/ store and standardize the metric data from all of our architectures. -matt -- PGP fingerprint 'A7C2 3C2F 8445 AD3C 135E F40B 242A 5984 ACBC 91D3' They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. --Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania, 1759
