that's likely because your installed set of GNU auto tools was compatible (whereas sebastian's wasn't). in the end though... none of those tools should be run in the first place once we've cooked up a new distribution.

I just noticed that there is a new build problem under Darwin. When I start "make" after "configure", it stops immediately: cd . && /bin/sh /Users/a0620/scratch/ganglia-2.6.0/srclib/libmetrics/build/missing --run autoheader Can't locate object method "path" via package "Request" at /sw/share/autoconf/Autom4te/C4che.pm line 69, <GEN1> line 111. I have autoheader 2.59 installed via Fink in /sw/bin in my $PATH. I don't immediately see what the problem is. That step shouldn't even be necessary, should it?
