Hello. I am the Project Manager on a project that is looking to implement Ganglia 3.0.1 in a production environment (Linux grid). We will be using Ganglia to improve grid stats reporting.
I have the following questions: 1.) What other technologies (besides XML and Apache) is Ganglia based on? 2.) Can Ganglia be configured to open another local port besides 8651 when receiving info from a client system? 3.) What is the PHP scripting language that the Ganglia web frontend is written in? 4.) Can Ganglia report on idle users versus active users on grid nodes? 5.) Have any companies/organizations integrated Ganglia with an access authentication application (specifically SiteMinder)? 6.) What type of security issues have been faced by companies/organizations using Ganglia? 7.) Do you know of current plans for incorporating Ganglia with Red Hat Linux releases? 8.) Can Ganglia integrate with web frontends other than Apache (specifically WebSphere)? Thank you in advance. Any insights that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
