Thanks for the patch - I'll apply it to the trunk.
 
I think there are still similar issues throughout the php files, I'll
see if I can fix those too.
 
BTW, any ideas about this one?

        I definitely saw fixes in 3.0.2, but I don't know if it's all of
'em.

        Either way, try the attached patch - a cleanup of the notices
you've pasted.
