Chuck,

because we ship "original" versions of some 3rd paty code like "apr",
"confuse" and "expat". Only top-level and "libmetrics" are native
gmond.

Has this caused actual problems? If I use the same command on a
"configured" tree on my FC4 system, all seems to point to the correct
"sed" location.

[monitor-core]$ egrep "^SED=" `find . -name "*libtool*"`
./srclib/libmetrics/libtool:SED="/bin/sed"
./srclib/confuse/libtool:SED="sed"
./srclib/expat/libtool:SED="/bin/sed"
./srclib/apr/build/libtool.m4:SED=$lt_SED
./srclib/apr/build/libtool.m4:SED=$lt_cv_path_SED
./srclib/apr/libtool:SED="/bin/sed"
./libtool:SED="/bin/sed"

Cheers
Martin
PS: Hope this was not to "facile" :-)
