It doesn't.  This code is BSD-style licensed.  Novell owns the copyright which 
makes it no different than anybody else owning copyrights to portions of the 
Ganglia code whether it is a corporation or an individual.  There is no 
affiliation with Microsoft or anybody else.  Plain and simple, this is BSD 
licensed open source code.  Use it how you like.  The conditions are solely to 
retain the copyright and license, that's it.  Nothing else, no strings attached 
:)
