I'm not sure if my patch caused this, or this is a standard behaviour
of tcpconn:

17825 ?        Ssl    0:00 /usr/sbin/gmond
17864 ?        Z      0:00  \_ [netstat] <defunct>

Can you check whether you have the same thing when you startup your gmond?
