barry- the C version of gmetad uses a slightly different RRD format. when you upgrade from the old gmetad .. you will need to start with fresh /var/lib/ganglia/rrds directory.
# cd /var/lib/ganglia # mv rrds rrds.old if it's important to convert your old data to 2.5.x format... let me know. it not trivial but it can be done. btw, the old data format had a single DS called "ganglia". the new format has 2: "num" and "sum". this newer format allows for easy calculation of averages. matt Today, Barry O'Neill wrote forth saying... > I've had ganglia working for a few months, and have now moved it to a > dedicated monitoring server at the same time as updating to the latest > version. > > Unfortunately, during the move, I seem to have lost all the graphs and my > log is filling up with: > > "Unable to write meta data to RRDbs > Summary_RRD_update: expected 1 data source readings (got 2) from > N:1176:000000:17:..." > > The data which is viewable on the web pages is updating correctly, so where > do I start looking - permissions? nodes? > > Help... > > Barry > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This sf.net email is sponsored by: To learn the basics of securing > your web site with SSL, click here to get a FREE TRIAL of a Thawte > Server Certificate: http://www.gothawte.com/rd524.html > _______________________________________________ > Ganglia-general mailing list > Ganglia-general@lists.sourceforge.net > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/ganglia-general >
