I'd really like to get some I/O metrics for filesystems that are consistent with what 'iostat -x' produces. This info can be retrieved from the Solaris kernel using the kstat interface or in the case of Linux, /proc/partitions . Has this work been done already? Thought I'd better ask now to avoid redundant effort.
