I am happy to test the patch 
(http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg03014.html). 
This patch in this thread comments one block from data_thread.c. The 
comment-out approach works for OSX(intel), but I do not know whether it 
has side-affect on other platform.


I did not use fink before. However, I built ganglia OSX package. I can 
have a look at fink.
