So do the ip address need to be real ip addresses that are in the multi-cast IP? It is currently set to 239.2.11.71, which isn't a real ip address on my network, does it need to be?
I tried changing the hadoop-metrics.properties to that value and it did not have any results. gmetad --debug=5 still could not connect.
