Actually, I don't think the exact issue has actually been described in
this thread so far -- what exactly is the issue?

If these customization of the OS can be described in a public forum,
what are the changes you guys have done that is different from a stock
CentOS installation?

BTW, on a related topic, the code that you have produced, is that
something that could be contributed to the Ganglia community via
GitHub http://github.com/ganglia?  With the exposure you could
potentially get more users to test it and be able to track down the
issue sooner.  If this is do-able, I can go ahead and create a new
repository for gmond_c_modules.
