I've already installed ganglia. My only problem is that why the grid name is
unspecified? I already edited the gmetad.conf with this config.
data_source "testing" localhost
gridname "testing"
But nothing happen. It's still the same, unspecified. How to change the grid
name of it?

Have you rebooted the server after you've made the change?

If there is a firewall, you should disable it, or at least let port
8652 be accessible.
What happens if you do `telnet localhost 8652` on the server running gmetad?
