Eclipse looks like it could be a great IDE environment for newbies and/or the Emacs averse. It is designed specifially to support modules for multiple languages. It also looks like a fairly mature environment for development fully supporting Java and C++ already with other nice features like debugging and CVS.
There are already some attempts at making a lisp interface for Eclipse but it is hard to tell what state they are in from the web. If someone wanted check these out and report on the state of affairs for Lisp+Eclipse that would be very cool. I put links to the stuff I found on the Wiki at: http://wiki.alu.org/Newbie_Development_Environments David Aue _______________________________________________ Gardeners mailing list [email protected] http://www.lispniks.com/mailman/listinfo/gardeners
