I'm an engineer with interests in computational intelligence, concurrent programming, simulation, complex adaptive systems, data mining, and knowledge management. I began programming Fortran on punch cards while in high school in the 1960s, so I may be the fogey in this group. Over the years I've used everything from low level languages like C and Forth to high level ones like Lisp and APL. I'm not making significant use of Lisp at work and the Gardeners project could remove some of the barriers to doing so.
