Paolo,

I was inspired by what the lisp gardeners are doing. It finally kicked me into gear to start working on writing a little tool to integrate my del.icio.us links with my LiveJournal. I tried having a go with sbcl to start with on OSX and then had a few roadblocks to start with. I then tried it with PLT Scheme (MzScheme and quack.el in emacs). I've been having better luck with that.

I figured that once I got it roughed out in scheme that I would port it to Common Lisp (probably using sbcl). I'd be interfacing to the REST interface and xml of del.icio.us and the xml-rpc interface of LiveJournal. I've been busy lately so things have slowed down a bit.

I still want to complete a version 1 in scheme as I'm still making good headway using that (sxml is great for my xml processing). As soon as I figure out what I'm doing talking to the interfaces I'll start to look at how I want to do it in common lisp.

I'll be continuing to write things up as I go along, including reviews of the xml, http and xml-rpc libraries I have to deal with. I'll also be looking at whether I'm getting more info out of something like Cliki (as I'll be releasing this as open source) or the CLD.

I think that cl-gardeners is a great effort and I know that things have been a little quiet lately on the list, but that doesn't mean that people haven't been thinking about things and working on things quietly that will contribute to "the cause" in the long run. ;-)

I'll keep plugging away and when my code moves more in a CL direction I'll be posting to the list and asking people stupid questions. I hope I can still find people to ask here and on IRC on #cl-gardeners.

cheers,
Bruce
