Hi, I noticed a strange behavior of my Lisp interpreter.
I have two machines, an Intel Pentium4 at 1.6GHz (single core, bought six years ago) and an Intel Core duo quad (SMP) al 2.83 GHz. Both of them run SBCL on a Debian Lenny, but I discovered that the program I am writing in Lisp is slower on the latter machine, which *should* be faster!! Maybe this id due to the fact that the standard Debian package of SBCL is compiled for single core CPUs? Any idea? franZ -- Linux Registered User: #414858 P Funking Band http://www.perugiafunkingband.it http://www.myspace.com/perugiafunkingband _______________________________________________ Gardeners mailing list [email protected] http://www.lispniks.com/mailman/listinfo/gardeners
