Raising awareness on Confluence was more a vote for Confluence than against MediaWiki. But to answer your question: I haven't installed either one, but sys-admins where I've worked have disliked MediaWiki due to operational pain. Perhaps those were artifacts of older versions and bad memories linger. Confluence, too, can have challenges if plug-ins are mismatched with the base version, but it still runs when that happens. We're all geeky enough to learn whatever markup syntax is required, so that's less of an issue here (compared to a general office environment). If there's value in also having a trouble ticket system, integration with their Jira product is wonderful. Other than having used Confluence at a few businesses and finally getting my current employer to get a trial license, I have no direct affiliation with the company. -Daniel -- first name at last name dot com _______________________________________________ Gardeners mailing list [email protected] http://www.lispniks.com/mailman/listinfo/gardeners
