Hello:
I am having a problem compiling metacity in Fedora 8.
configure stop with error:

checking Xcomposite >= 0.2... no
Building compositing manager by default now.
Building with CompositeExt
checking Xcursor... no
checking for METACITY... configure: error: Package requirements (gtk+-2.0 >=
2.10.0 pango >= 1.2.0 gconf-2.0 >= 1.2.0 libstartup-notification-1.0
>= 0.7xcomposite >=
0.2 xfixes xrender xdamage) were not met:

Package xproto was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `xproto.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
Package 'xproto', required by 'Xcomposite', not found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables METACITY_CFLAGS
and METACITY_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

I have installed
libXcursor-devel-1.1.9-1.fc8
libXcursor-1.1.9-1.fc8
libXcomposite-devel-0.4.0-3.fc8
libXcomposite-0.4.0-3.fc8
xorg-x11-proto-devel-7.3-3.fc8

Any idea?
Thanks

Gonzalo
