CO + H2O ==> CO2 + H2. Which is the "Watergas Shift" reaction. The energy (enthalpy) change is very close to zero. It is favored for entropy reasons below about 700C over an iron or cobalt catalyst. It is a very important reaction, see Wikipedia .
