Hi Doug and All ;
Thanks for all the good responses, and glad to know that is work is going on.
Looking forward to see it when it is complete and posted.
Certainly I would think that commercial greenhouses know about this technique
of CO2 augmentation, and additionally, in these types of installations, there
is increased sensitivity to safety issues, as well as infrastructure logistics
which need to be considered due to the larger gasifier.
My post was more directed to the small end user up north (or down south in the
outback) who has a small greenhouse and does not know about CO2 augmentation.
On another list, we were discussing putting a wood burning stove in the
greenhouse for heating. The CO2 would then need to be exhausted and wasted. I
posted the idea to use a gasifier stove inside the greenhouse and utilize the
CO2, and it appeared from the responses that many otherwise knowledgeable
people were not aware of it (CO2 augmentation and/or gasifier stoves). For
these people, a Rocket stove or Mega placed in a greenhouse is an elegant and
simple solution. If you move your cooking into the greenhouse, then it is not
even using any extra fuel.
I searched on the net to find some pages about this and I did not find any.
This appeared to be an under-utilized market for gasifier stoves from my
initial investigation. I did assume that there was work being done, just that
I did not see any on the net.
Best Regards,
Peter G.
