Yep, it was the 1928 season I was thinking of. They went undefeated for a
pretty long stretch, but it was over 2 seasons.
Leon, you were there then, weren't you? :-)

I THOUGHT that '95 was the closest we ever came to going wire-to-wire. If
T/H comes back next year, we should be in pretty good shape to finally do
it.

If my handy, dandy spreadsheet I have is correct, the answer is NO.

We had the following "close" seasons:
6-1-0 in 1910 (Mercer)
5-0-1 in 1911 (South Carolina)
8-1-0 in 1928 (Tennessee)
9-1-1 in 1969 (Auburn)
9-1-1 in 1984 (Miami)
9-1-1 in 1985 (Georgia)
12-1-0 in 1995 (Nebraska) Only undefeated "regular" season
12-1-0 in 1996 (F$U)
13-1-0 in 2006 (Auburn)

Forget "modern era". Have we EVER gone "wire to wire", which includes bowls
and conference championships? I don't think so. That would be an awesome
goal for the T/H Team.

I think that’s why we’ll see him back next year. I think whatever
happens this year, we’ll see Tebow back again too. And, we can thank Ole
Miss for that. Tebow wants to do something that hasn’t been done in the
modern era at UF. And that’s to go undefeated an entire season.

I have always thought Harvin was good - but was amazed at the beginning of
the last game at how explosive and strong Harvin is. He seemed to hit the
holes very quickly - and we have some fast guys to compare him to.

He also seemed to get tackled by two DBs and carry them for another 3 to 5
yards.

If it were not for injuries - Harvin could easily make the case for the
Heisman.
